Bengaluru,

Karnataka Media Academy in collaboration with the Department of Information and Public Relations, Karnataka S.C./ S.T. Newspaper Editors Association and Chitradurga District Working Journalists Association has organized a one-day seminar on the topic “Ambedkar’s Perspective in News Media” on August 30 at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Hall of Patrakartara Bhavana in Chitradurga.

“The seminar will provide a platform to discuss Dr Ambedkar’s  revolutionary ideas, their relevance in today’s India, and his role as journalist  and the way forward for building a more inclusive society.” Said Ayesha Khanum chairperson Media Academy .

The Minister for Planning, Programme Coordination and Statistics and Chitradurga District In-charge Shri D. Sudhakar will inaugurate the seminar.
Senior journalist Shri D. Umapathy will deliver the keynote address. Hon’ble Chief Minister’s Media Advisor Shri K.V. Prabhakar, MP Govind M. Karajol and other dignitaries will participate in the programme.
In this symposium, journalist Shri N. Ravikumar will present on the topic “Ambedkar’s Journalistic Career”, V.L. Narasimha Murthy on the topic “Ambedkar’s Writings as a Journalist”, Dr. Bharathi Devi on “Gender Equality in Ambedkar’s Perspective” and Rishikesh Bahadur Desai will present on the topic of “social justice consciousness among journalists”. Senior journalist Shri Sanath Kumar Belagali will deliver the valedictory speech.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿಯು ಚಿತ್ರದುರ್ಗ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರ ಭವನದ ಡಾ. ಬಿ.ಆರ್.‌ ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್‌ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾರ್ತಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಇಲಾಖೆ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಎಸ್‌.ಸಿ. ಎಸ್‌.ಟಿ. ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಸಂಪಾದಕರ ಸಂಘ ಹಾಗೂ ಚಿತ್ರದುರ್ಗ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರತ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರ ಸಂಘದ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗಸ್ಟ್‌ 30 ರಂದು “ಸುದ್ದಿ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್‌ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನ” ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದ ಕುರಿತು ಒಂದು ದಿನದ ವಿಚಾರ ಸಂಕಿರಣವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದೆ.
ಯೋಜನೆ, ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಸಂಯೋಜನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಂಖ್ಯಿಕ ಖಾತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಚಿತ್ರದುರ್ಗ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಉಸ್ತುವಾರಿ ಸಚಿವ ಡಿ. ಸುಧಾಕರ್‌ ಅವರು ವಿಚಾರ ಸಂಕಿರಣವನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಡಾ. ಬಿ.ಆರ್.‌ ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್‌ ಅವರ ಕ್ರಾಂತಿಕಾರಿ ಚಿಂತನೆಗಳು, ಇಂದಿನ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವುಗಳ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತತೆ, ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡ ಸಮಾಜ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂದಿನ ಹಾದಿ ಮುಂತಾದ ವಿಷಯಗಳ ಚರ್ಚೆಗೆ ಈ ವಿಚಾರ ಸಂಕಿರಣವು ವೇದಿಕೆಯಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಆಯೇಶಾ ಖಾನಂ ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
